Training Camp

Hi Folks

This Sundays Race Development Squad Training is the last open session. Athletes MUST be taking part in the club national or grand prix race on the 4th / 5th June to attend the sesion. The cost for this coming Sundays training is £10.10. 

 

There are still places for our race camp on the Thursday 2nd and Friday 3rd June - before our club national / Grand Prix

The Camp runs from 11am - 4pm. Includes 1 hour fitness and 4 hours race training.Cost = £30 per day or £50 if booking on both days.
Names and £10 deposit (per day) needed in advance -

Lee is also available on Wednesdays for anyone who has any questions re the training camp/club national. 

Anyone wishing to take party in the club national, may do so by filling in a day entry form, Anil will have the day entry form or myself. or you may wish to download a form from our website.  

The race cost £17 to enter.  (the day registration is not payable by any raven member, as this is paid for by ravens)

Finally, for those attending the race at Pendle this Saturday Lee Bennett will be there to assist you racers in their medal winning efforts ;-)

Just a few dates for the diary coming up!

 

The last Winter Series Race is next Wednesday 4th April. We will get off to another prompt start and aim to get through 3 runs again like last month. The success of the race depends on the help and cooperation of the parents so please get there early and make yourself available to help out where possible.

 

The Ravens Summer BBQ and Winter Series Presentation is on Friday 24th June at Ramside Hall Golf Club. The evening will start from 7pm and will include BBQ, Disco and Presentation. Tickets are £7.50 per person and will be available to buy from Anil from next Wednesday. Based on how popular the Xmas Night was im sure it will ber a success so get tickets early!

 

We will be holding a parents evening on Wednesday 11th May in the Heritage room hosted by Marie Lee. Marie will be available to give parents a little more insight into the way in which the race scene works and how you and your child can get involved in racing. She will cover involvement in Club Nationals and the seed sytem for Gran Prix's as well as how to get registered for the forth coming Club National at Silksworth.

 

The Ravens Club National and Gran Prix weekend is fast approaching and is on Saturday 4th & Sunday 5th June. The coaches will be talking to both the skiers and the parents over the coming weeks and will where apporpriate be advising you whether you should consider entering. On the whole i think most of the skiers at Ravens are at a level where they should consider entering but if you want more information please speak to your relevant coach. Several of the coaches will be available on both days to give advice and help with course inspection and we are looking to get as many local skiers as possible to enter.
