News Update

Hi Folks

8 sleeps left until Christmas. Last Ravens night is on Wednesday 22nd December. As in previous years it will be a bit of a fun night consisting of a dual slalom. We will have tea and coffee and mince pies on the go in the heritage room to get you in the festive spirit.

Ravens will not be on during the Christmas holidays (29th December) but it will be training as usual on Wednesday 5th January.

On behalf of everyone at Raven Ski Club I would like to wish you all a very Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year

Sunday Training Cancelled

Ravens Xmas Party Photos Uploaded

140 people braved the cold and turned out for the Ravens Xmas Party and Presentation Night. Big Thankyou goes out to Ramside Golf Club for putting on such a good venue. Uploaded a few photographs taken on the night, if anyone has anymore send them in. Also found the photos of the Summer BBQ so they are up as well.

News Update

Well done to everyone who braved the weather and turned out tonight for training, it was cold but fantastic conditions! We will be running a training session at Yad Moss on Sunday subject to weather conditions, please check the blog page for updates, we will be checking the weather and make a final decision on Saturday.
We have 150 people coming to the Xmas party on Friday night!!  We will be holding a raffle to raise some club funds so could i ask that where possible you bring a raffle prize with you on the night.
Take care on the roads and i look forward to seeing everyone on Friday night.

Race Secretary Marie Lee will be organising for Ravens racers to take part in the Scottish Snow Races this year. For details of the Winter Race Calendar got to http://www.britski.org/snow.htm. If you are interested in representing Ravens at any of the races let us know.

Snow Training Sunday 5th December, 9am- 2pm/Yad Moss

Hi Folks, we will be running a snow training session at Yad Moss this Sunday subject to weather! Lift Pass will cost £15 for Adults and £8 for children plus £5 per person for coaching. John Greenwood be taking the training session and we will organise other coaches depending on numbers. This Sundays training session is open to all members so let me know as soon as you can if you want to come. Yad Moss is accessible from the main road so 4x4's are not essential but obviously check the weather first as the roads can be closed. I will post further bulletins later in the week and let you know.

Snow Training Sunday 5th December

Depending on the weather we may plan a snow training session next Sunday 5th December at either Yadmoss or Weardale. Post up a comment on the blog or facebook if your interested and we will keep you posted during the week. Looking at the weather forecast its looking good so far!!

Xscape Snow Training Cancelled!!

Due to the severe weather warnings over the weekend the coaches have decided to cancel this Saturdays snow training session at Xscape Castleford. We will be rearranging the training session and will let you know as soon as we have a new date.

Ravens Xmas Party

Well it is just over a week to the Ravens Xmas Party and we have about 140 people coming!! Just to remind everyone there will be coaches awards given by all 7 coaches (sorry names they are secret!) for the most improved during 2010. I know it seems like a life time ago (particularly if you were one of the 'hardcore' who turned out to race tonight!) but we did have a summer series. Ok folks with twitter and facebook now set up i figured the only thing left was a blog page. With our first overseas ski racing camp only a few months away i figured it would be good to set up a blog page to cover it. Dont ask me why i just did ok!
