Winter Series is on next Wednesday. As always we need parents to help out so can you please email back to confirm if you are willing to help on the night. All jobs are available and there are several parents on hand to explain things if you are unsure. We will be moving to a new system for next year whereby all skiers taking part will be required to provide an official or helper (we will publish details at the AGM).

Ravens had another great training session at Castleford yesterday, plans are under way to organise another one for May. The snowdome is getting quieter now so we will be running other trips through the summer but with later starting times so watch this space for further details.

The Winter Series presentation and summer bbq is now booked for friday 24th June at Ramside Golf club. Due to the success of the xmas one we will be putting tickets out for this in the next couple of weeks so keep the date clear in your social calendar!

John Greenwood will be taking a more active role in organising events and training sessions while Lee is out of action. John will also have a more active role in communication of events going forward. This will hopefully ensure more information about upcoming events is communicated quicker and more frequently. John will be posting on the Ravens Facebook account as well as the blog page. We will aim to keep emails to once a fortnight and the noticeboard updated every three months.

And finally....whilst it is some way off, Ravens ski club is always looking for new members to join the committee. I am in my 3rd year as chairman and whilst i said i would commit to 5 years I also said there was a break clause after 3 so this is the perfect time for someone to step up and take over the role if they wish. There are several roles available within the committe and As a club i also think it is important that the committee attracts fresh faces so that it is run in a way that reflects what it its members want. If you are interested in joining or taking a more active role in the club please let me or any of the other committee members know.
